# Free consult before Execute

> Consulting is free; Execute costs credits. Lock scope and cost before building.

The cheapest habit is on the buttons: **Free consult** until the plan is clear, then **Execute**.

Skipping consult burns credits on wrong guesses.

### Why

1. Consult is free; Execute costs credits.
2. Software is many small decisions — a login page alone has dozens.
3. You can usually state only part of them; the rest gets guessed from code. Consult turns guesses into decisions.

### Enter consult

1. Click **Free consult** at the bottom-right of the input.
2. Confirm the chat turns green.
3. Discuss requirements; attach references as needed.
4. Click **Exit consult** when done.

### Useful consult patterns

1. Ask for a plan before building (don’t jump straight to “build a points system”).
2. Probe edges and errors (“what if avatar upload fails?”).
3. Replace adjectives with references (“match this layout” vs “make it premium”).
4. Ask cost before Execute.
5. Lock Demo design before wiring data.
